Maybe once or twice a week I get to eat out somewhere, although as inflation and shrinkflation impact everyone, this is becoming less frequent. In the last few years I have made as mental list of the best food. What I look for is good flavors and decent sized portions.
So below are some of my favorites. I will add more to this table as I get time and have the inclination.
Name | Map | Cuisine | Rating (1-5) | Comments |
El Caracol | https://maps.app.goo.gl/yo4g5fXc4uWAhaaW6 | Mexican | 4.5 | an excellent find, it’s a small restaurant set into the wall in Yotsuya Sanchome. The food is awesome. Try the ceviche, mollete, tacos and quesadillas. They have some really nice mescal and tequilas. |
Sapporo Soup Cury, Dominica | https://maps.app.goo.gl/UhwG84DbwSLkUxyWA | Japanese Soup Curry | 4.5 | Right behind Shinjuku Sanchome station you can smell it before you see it. The large soup curry is brim-filled with vegetables and you can have it as spicy as you like. The staff are friendly, it is well hidden and often busy. |
