My favorite restaurants in Tokyo

Maybe once or twice a week I get to eat out somewhere, although as inflation and shrinkflation impact everyone, this is becoming less frequent. In the last few years I have made as mental list of the best food. What I look for is good flavors and decent sized portions.

So below are some of my favorites. I will add more to this table as I get time and have the inclination.

El Caracolhttps://maps.app.goo.gl/yo4g5fXc4uWAhaaW6Mexican4.5an excellent find, it’s a small restaurant set into the wall in Yotsuya Sanchome. The food is awesome. Try the ceviche, mollete, tacos and quesadillas. They have some really nice mescal and tequilas.
Sapporo Soup Cury, Dominicahttps://maps.app.goo.gl/UhwG84DbwSLkUxyWAJapanese Soup Curry4.5Right behind Shinjuku Sanchome station you can smell it before you see it. The large soup curry is brim-filled with vegetables and you can have it as spicy as you like. The staff are friendly, it is well hidden and often busy.
